Dennis – We only review vegan food, but it can be from any restaurant. A Kinta review is in the works but our images haven’t come out clear enough. Soon though!

A follow up. We went back for lunch and had the Club Sandwich… YUM. I asked if you can order off the lunch menu at dinner and they said yes… so it’s something to consider as a dinner option.

One note, they don’t really have kid meal options for lunch and their PB&J is $8. So… Perhaps it’s an area they can look to improve on.

Great advice about the chili fries. It’s like when eating at Beaterville – it’s best to order the sides instead of a full poor boy with tofu – so frustrating!

I really enjoyed your review of Pirate’s Tavern. I’ve been several times with my family and I keep trying to find the right thing to order so that when the bill comes I don’t curse at it.

My conclusion is close to yours, go for the beer, the fries and maybe the mock fish n’ chips. There are a lot of dishes which are very over priced and that aren’t home runs. I’d love to see them pump up the pub style options rather than see the same white sauce in several different formats.

The thing that got me are the chili fries. If you order a bowl of chili and a side of fries it’s 1/2 the cost of ordering chili fries!

But I think I’d totally stop my griping about it if they adjusted their prices, so that rather than 12 & 14 the dishes were 7-9. (as for a family of four dinner is often at LEAST $40-$50).

All that aside. It’s a frigging Vegan Pirate Tavern. So I may be cursing like a pirate when I get the bill, but I’ll still be smiling drinking beer when I’m there.
